Musical Instrument

My son had to make a homemade instrument for school.  So using one of my cricut images and some creativity, we came up with this cool guitar.

Austin's 9th Birthday Pop-up Card

My son Austin turned 9 and I wanted to make him a cool card.  I've been watching video's on how to make pop-up cards...so I just had to give it a try.  He absolutely loved it!!! 

Boy Scout 100yr Poster

My husband tells me 2hrs before my son's Boy Scout meeting that they were suppose to make a poster to celebrate 100 years of scouting.  My cricut to the rescue!!!  My son and I whipped this together quick!

Busy, busy busy!!!!

We have been working on packing and getting our house ready to sell, so I have not been posting in a while.  My husband got orders to work at the cadet clinic at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.  Since we won't be living on the east side of the U.S. for 4 years or longer...We took the kids and went on a trip to all the Disney World Parks.  My 6yr old is the roller coaster princess! lol.  It was a great time.  I have been still crafting between all the sorting and packing.  I decided to start posting some of my projects each day.  I hope you enjoy.  Feel free to comment or ask questions...  :)

Magazine Challenge: MY SWEET VALENTINE CONTEST!

For this contest I made an easel card.  I used 5 different types of candy.  To construct the card and give it support I made it using chip board with decorative paper adhered on top.

The elephant was cutout of fruit roll ups using the Holiday Cakes Cartridge....I cut the ear out 5 times to make it pop  out more.  I used a glitter heart brad for the eye.

The flower was cut out out of fruit roll ups.  I used the Cuttle Bug rose quilling kit to make a template and then cut it out with an exacto knife.

I cut more chip board out using Accent Essentials cartridge and tweaking the image with my Gypsy. I then put glue on it a sprinkled it with crushed sweet tart hearts.  The I and the U are made from pull n peel twizzlers and the big heart is cut form taffy using George and Basic Shapes cartridge.  I then decorated with sweet tart hearts.  It smells so nummy!!!!!

JANUARY MONTHLY CHALLENGE: SCRAPLIFT A CIRCLE BLOG PROJECT!

Here is my project that I scraplifted from Cindy Royal (Dec 24, 2010). I thought it was a cute idea.  I changed it up a little... instead of using a house I did a school.  I thought it would be nice to put in my kid's school office.  I used paper from Bazzill Basics and Imaginisce and a gem from Imaginisce.  Cuts were made from using the following cartridges:  Designer's Calendar, Just Because Cards, My Community, and Plantin School Book.  I enjoyed doing this challenge...now crossing my fingers.  :)
